Samsung has already launched the 2017 version of A Series smartphones. Maybe, now its time for the Samsung J7 2017 to go official. But, before its official release some of its key specifications have surfaced online. According to a listing on Geekbench, Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 will be running Android 7.0 Nougat.
According to Geekbench listing, the smartphone model number is SM-J727P and it will be running on latest android version 7.0 Nougat.
Key Specifications of Samsung J7 (2017)
The smartphone recorded a benchmark score of 889 and 4200 for single-core and multi-core performances, respectively.
The Geekbench listing reveals that 2017 version of J7 will come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.21 GHz.
The smartphone will come with 2 GB of RAM which is same as its 2016 model.
If we compare these specifications with the 2016 model of the same device then as per these specs we can see that Samsung has come up with a better processor.
However, an increase RAM size would have been a bonus!
This is the only information that could be obtained from the Geekbench listing but we already know some more specs (maybe!). Thanks to some earlier leaks and rumours.
Some more specifications
Earlier rumours suggest that the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280 x 1080 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) is expected to have a 13 mega-pixels rear and a 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera.
The battery of this device is expected to be 3000 mAh which is 10% less than its 2016 model. But will Samsung launch a smartphone with a lower battery life than its earlier variant? Hope they don’t!
Samsung J7 2016 offered internal storage of 16 GB expandable to 128 GB via microSD card. We hope that Samsung J7 2017 comes with at least 32 GB of internal memory.
